Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

It has been a wonderful, busy and productive summer here in Blackfoot.  Since Vacation Bible School we have been busy visiting all the parents of the children that attended and have seen two parents come to know the Lord as their Savior.  One mother who was saved and baptized has been faithful to church and has been busy inviting and bringing all her extended family with her.  We also have been able to add six children from VBS to our bus ministry on Sunday mornings.

At the beginning of summer we were averaging four people weekly in Sunday school.  I decided to revamp our Sunday School Program and ordered new Bible story pictures and offered a small contest for all those that came to S.S. for the summer.  At the end of August we were averaging no less than fourteen and as high as eighteen people (kids and adults) in Sunday school each week.  The contest ended at the end of August and I was anxious to see how many people would still come to S.S. with a new period starting and was overwhelmed  Sunday morning to see our regular fourteen in attendance the first week of September.  We thank God and give him the glory for helping us build to Sunday School to such a number in so short of time.

Mason has been taking piano lessons now and his piano teacher was able to attend several Wednesday night services with us.  After coming a couple of times we were able to open the Bible and show him the plan of salvation and he asked Christ into his life.  Please pray for him as he attends a church across that pays him to play piano for them on Sundays.  He says he is convicted to come to our church but because of financial difficulties is unable to at this time.

I also ask you to pray for a man named Jim.  He has been coming to Sunday night and Wednesday night services for the last month.  He says he enjoys the services and has been convicted about several things  but upon talking to him I do not think he is saved.  Please pray that he will continue to attend services and that he will open his heart to Christ soon.

Fellow preachers and Christians have always told me that summer is a time for church attendance to drop as people vacation and enjoy summer activities, but we have not found this to be true.  We have had steady attendance with our church family and have seen many visitors over the summer weeks.  We have been busy visiting and tract passing and are seeing God's hand move in our ministry, the church and the community of Blackfoot.  Please continue to pray that the church will continue to grow and that more people will be saved.

Thank you for your prayers and support
