Missionaries to San Jose del Monte City, Philippines

February 19, 2007

 Dear Pastor and Church Family,

God is good all the time. Knowing the Savior and our access with Him makes all the difference in the world.  For the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory that shall be revealed in us. Amen! Not that our sufferings even come close to many other Christians in the iron, bamboo, and Islam curtains; we just praise God for the privilege of serving Him in a free country like the Philippines.  Thank you very much for your faithful support, sacrifices and prayers through many years of service together with God.

Since our December prayer letter God has done many wonderful things for us and the ministry here. Many souls were saved during the 3 Christmas presentations of our Christian school. Many others were saved in our quarterly parents-teachers meeting. Our Saturday visitation program also brings many to the saving knowledge of Christ plus many prospects; even though we wish that many more would venture to visit the church and worship with us. We have restarted our hospital preaching ministry, plus the bus preaching ministry where many souls get saved every Wednesday. May the LORD continue to use us to bring many to the Savior.

We have been refreshed and renewed in our vision for our individual families in the church through the ministry of Pastor Mike Glowacki and his wife.  We had a three-day family conference ending with a Couples Banquet that was hosted by our young people.  It was a great week of learning and instruction in the fundamentals of building a Christian home.  We thank God for sending this good couple to minister to us.  This coming March, we are looking forward to the arrival of Brother Tom Elliot and his family as they take a survey trip. During his visit we plan to venture again into the public schools, we pray that many souls will be won for Him and lives changed for His glory. Please pray that we connect with the right people in authority over the schools and that God may be glorified. Hopefully, by the beginning of the school year in June we can restart our Bible distribution ministry. If you think you can help us in the purchase of Tagalog Bibles, please let us know. We pray that many of our people will continue to grow and take these doors of opportunity to serve Him more.

We are planning to survey the town of Bagac, Bataan this April. It is the hometown of one of Bible Institute graduates, Bro Eric Guevarra. He is praying to start a church in this area in the future. Please pray that an effectual door of utterance would grant salvation to many souls in the said town or neighboring ones.

The mailing system has once again been causing us some problems here in the Philippines.  Please be reminded that often times mail is not efficient here.  If you have sent letters or packages and have not readily received a response, it is very possible that we did not receive it.  At the same time, we have been sending our Prayer letter every other month, if you have not been receiving them it is more than likely a mail problem.  If either is the case, we would like to ask you to please inform us so that we can be aware of the problem.  At the same time, we have started sending our letters through the e-mail; if this arrangement would be fine for your church, please e-mail us confirmation to your agreement.  We would also request each of you to send your email addresses for our files.  Thank you so much for you help and consideration in this area as we try to improve our communications with each of you.

My family and I are taking our third furlough.  Michelle and the girls will go ahead of me on April 3, I will join them in June.  We plan to stay until the beginning of January 2008. We are praying for a van or minivan to travel on. If you have an extra vehicle for us to use or purchase and if you wish to have us come and make a report of the ministry, please let us know.  We are looking forward to being with you.

In the Grace of God,

Carl Gormley and Family
