Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods” (Psalms 96:2-4). There are three wonderful years (i.e. April 17, 2004 – April 17, 2007) that the LORD has led us back into the Mission field of Togo, our native country. The LORD has done some tremendous things during the past three years of ministry. We thank God that He has enabled us to lead about 1500 souls to Christ, and we have baptized about 170 new converts. And three churches are being established: Bread of Life Baptist Church in Lome where our ministry is based is growing. When we came back in 2004, the attendance was about 120 (adults and children), but today the attendance averages 250 (adults and children) on Sunday morning. Bella, is doing a wonderful work in the children’s Sunday school ministry, and many children are trusting Christ as their personal Savior. Also she is involved in teaching and training ladies. Then Faith Baptist Church in my home village has an attendance of 150 on Sunday morning, and the LORD has provided a church building for that church through Faith Baptist Church in Wilmington, North Carolina. Also Source of Life Baptist Church in another area of Lome, which is being led by one of my co-workers has an attendance of about 100 people (adults and children) on Sunday morning. On the other hand, we are involved in training of Christian workers. We are trying to establish a Bible College with another Missionary friend. We have about thirty students attending our evening and day classes. Also we have the opportunity to teach the Bible for one hour every week on a Christian radio, and it is having a great impact on many listeners who are discovering the sound teaching of the Word of God. We are also involved in a village evangelistic outreach, helping some preacher boys to go into some villages in order to preach the gospel to many folks that are mainly involved in idol worship. We thank God for providing a motorcycle and four bicycles for that ministry and we are praying for many needs to be met in that area. Also our children have grown up, and my wife is doing a great job in home schooling them. Ruth is 9, and she is in 4th grade; Eunice is 7, and she is 2nd grade, Phoebe is 5, and she is K5; Galen is 3, and still playing around. We thank God for Freedom Baptist Church in Palm Bay, Florida and our friends Homer & Patricia Bartlett for sending us the A Beka home school materials. We thank God for meeting our needs in various ways, and keeping us safe during time of sickness and troubles in the country. Also we praise the Lord that the legal documents of the land we purchased for Bread of Life Baptist Church have been signed. We are entreating you: - To pray for our desperate need of a Generator that will have the Maximum Output of 5 KW, because the Electricity Company in Togo is in serious crisis and things are getting worse and worse. We barely have power in the night for two to four hours, and sometime we do not have it at all. - This situation has caused a serious problem of running water many other inconveniences. For that reason, my wife has to wake up at 1 or 2 AM to fetch water, otherwise, there will be lack of water during the rest of the day. Pray that we will get the means to dig a well or to drill. - To pray for the need of another van that can also be used for a bus ministry. Our Nissan- Quest-1993 van has reached 190,598 miles. - To pray for the building project of Bread of Life Baptist Church in Lome. - To pray for the need of more French Bibles and gospel tracts. - To pray for the need of bicycles and motorcycles for our evangelistic ministry. - To pray for the need of a video projector for our village evangelistic outreach. - To pray for our health and safety May you receive our thanks and regards in Christ Jesus! Yours in His Love and Ministry, The Goungampo Family
