Dear Praying Friends and Co-laborers in Christ :

Greetings to you in the Precious Name of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ!

We have been experiencing the moving of the Holy Spirit in our services, with many conversions every week. Since our last report, we had 286 souls receiving Christ as their Savior.

It is amazing to see former devoted Moslems coming to know Christ as their Savior. Three weeks ago we baptized in our church a former strong Moslem named Marouf – Now he is a devoted Christian. He even brought his whole family to church (i.e. his wife and four children). Though Marouf is going through serious persecution from his relatives, he keeps trusting the Lord to take care of him and guide him. He lost his job for a while and could not even pay for his rent just because he became a believer in Christ. I prayed with him several times and encouraged him to put his trust in the Lord. We thank God that the Lord has done a miracle. They called this week at his job and they are considering get him back to work.

On the other hand, we are preparing to take our youth to a Youth Bible Camp from July 24 to 27, in the Northern part of the country, in the city named “Sokode”, which is about 200 miles from Lome.” There are about fifty teenagers from our church in Lome (i.e. Bread of Life Baptist Church) who will be travelling to “Sokode.”

Bella is doing a tremendous job with the ladies’ ministry as well as the children Sunday school ministry. She helped organized ladies spiritual retreat on May 17, 2007, and many ladies have testified that they have been revived. She is also involved in teaching ladies who are illiterate how to read and write with the purpose of helping them read the Bible, which is the Word of God. Also she helps with our church children Sunday school and nursery, which has an average attendance of 115 children every Sunday morning.

 We are entreating you:

-         To pray for brother Marouf to grow in the grace of the Lord.

-         To pray for our trip to “Sokode” for the Youth Bible Camp.

-         To pray for our country Togo – The Electricity Company is in serious crisis, for that reason we barely have power and running water 6 hours a day.

-         To pray for the need of another van for our family, that can also be used for the ministry - Our Nissan Quest van has reached almost 200,000 miles.

-         To pray for the building project of Bread of Life Baptist Church in Lome.

-         To pray for our children home school materials that we could receive those before school starts in September.

-         To pray for the need of a video projector for our village evangelistic outreach.

P.S. In many villages in Togo, there is no hospital or health center – So any medical missionary will be welcome to Togo by GFBM-AFRICA. This is an open door to evangelize thousands of people who have never heard the gospel of Christ.

May you receive our thanks and regards in Christ Jesus!

Yours in His Love and Ministry,

 The Goungampo Family
