FEBRUARY, 2007

Tick... Tick... Tick... I can here the ticking of the clock as the time is drawing closer for us to head back to Belarus. April 11, 2007 is that date! The final preparations are being made!!!

Kent’s Connection

January and February have been busy with meetings in different churches to present our ministry in Belarus. All of the churches have been in Florida, within a relatively short driving distance. This has allowed my family to be involved in our home church, Bible Baptist. But it has also been so refreshing and rewarding for me to be a part of visitation for our home church. I have had some great opportunities to share the gospel, answer questions by opening God’s Word, instruct about baptism, and church membership.

God has giving me two men in our sending church, that I have been able to disciple. One has been a believer for several years but never learned how to share the gospel. The other man had never been on visitation even though he was active in church. It has been great to be involved in teaching these men who want to be a part of God’s plan.

Janet’s Corner

Being a wife, mother of three, and school teacher occupies much of my time. Danny and I are working hard on third grade. We will have a short break as we travel, and "back to the books" after we return to Belarus. Christy and Annie are typical 4 and 2 year olds. They don’t have a clue as to what is about to happen, but as long as they are with Mom and Dad, they are happy!!!

One of my responsibilities has always been to pack our bags. Several people have given us big suitcases and I have them all spread out on the basement floor. Try to think what your family would need for the next 3 or 4 years!!! How many jars of peanut butter would that be?!!! We have been given a lot of nice "hand me downs" for which we are grateful. Now the challenge is to get it all in the allotted baggage allowance!!

Our prayer request (From a mother’s point of view)

  1. 1. Extra seats on the plane. Going east is much harder than traveling west, and the kids will NEED to sleep on the plane.
  2. 2. Emotional strength as we say lots of good byes.
  3. 3. That I can get everything packed.

Financial Calculations

Our support level is now at 75% of what we would need on a monthly base. God has allowed us to save most of our One Time Fund for travel expenses, visas and registration and to purchase a reliable vehicle. We lack only $3000. Will you pray that God will provide that needed support within the next month? Would God use you to help us need those needs? If so, contributions can be sent to the mission address listed below. We are anxious to return to the work that God has called us.

For Christ,

Kent & Janet
