Dear Pastor and Ministry Partner,

As age has crept on me the more I realize the promise of 2Cor 3: 5…not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God. We put our trust in the LORD when we began ministering here in the Philippines back in 1995. We saw God move in us, through us and with us through the years. Seeing souls saved, families reconciled and blessed, lives changed, churches started, lands purchased, a Christian school erected, Bible institutes established, pastors called and trained, children’s Bible clubs begun, prisoners emancipated, standards of purity delineated, friends gained, new preachers being called, home Bible studies and discipleship cell groups opened, soul winning crews perpetuating the gospel story, missionaries supported and sent, the Bible being taught and preached faithfully, and the faithfulness of God’s presence manifested all the more makes ministry worthwhile and fun. When our family and I see all the positives outshining the gloomy, dark winds of trials, rebellious assertions of present day Diotrepheses,  dissatisfied Lots, and insane attitude stunts of backsliding Korahs and preachers I personally trained(false accusations, libel, talebearing, and sowing of discord included); we conclude with Joseph in Gen 50:20GOD meant it for good, and with Job in 1:21blessed be the name of the LORD. It all makes sense with the sovereignty of GOD. All we can do is forgive and forget… let go and let God show the truth and take the lead as we pull the yoke of ministry (Ps 85:11; Mt 11:29). Serving the LORD does not get any better than this! Amen!

Thank you so much from the bottoms of our hearts for supporting and praying for us through the years… and entrusting us to multiply your seed sown to increase the fruits of your righteousness (2Cor 9:10). Only God can reward you appropriately for the steps of faith you take with us in this missionary endeavor. We are forever grateful for the many sacrifices you make despite of the financial struggles and economic constraints we have been confronting globally. You are the New Testament heroes in the home front. Pray with us as we strive to deliver the best quality service as we steward your investments to the glory and pleasure of GOD. Amen!

We started Saturday children’s Bible clubs in 4 neighborhoods last June. The note worthiest being the booming Graceville resettlement (Manila authorities have been bringing in the squatters by the truckloads weekly). The sad part is the government won’t let us buy nor rent property within its boundaries. We face the dilemma of bussing the children and parents with our church jeep and our family van. We could double our impact more efficiently and more effectively if we had another jeep. We could get a 5 year old one at $7000. Please pray with us that God meets this need in His time and for His glory. For now, our sufficiency rests in the LORD. Amen!

Four hurricanes (called typhoons here) slammed into our part of the country this past July. But as God would have our location in the leeward side of the Sierra Madre Mountains, we were spared from the damaging winds and the flash floods. Our lowest attendance was 180 adults and 50 kids. We still thank God for people getting saved and the provocation of faithfulness in our people. A total of 14 adult first time visitors ventured into our church services and 7 have gotten saved since. Two of the new families indicated willingness to sponsor a home discipleship series.  We have 8 students in our Bible institute (5 students from our church & 3 from Pastor Samoy’s ministry). Please pray that God will enable them with His grace to serve the LORD in their own future ministries. The start of our church auditorium construction was moved to the beginning of November to avoid the problems of this rainy season. Please pray that all will get done before the end of March 2012 to coincide with our school’s 20th anniversary celebration and that more people will get saved and baptized into the church. What a joy it is to serve the LORD!
